GPR Exhausts
« on: October 09, 2010, 19:25:45 »
I fitted a new pair of gpr exhausts on my 04 vstrom, today which was quite easy even with my givi racks in situ, however after fitting both I found that the right hand side exhaust is sitting back approx 3-4" further back than the left hand exhaust, even though they are both slotted fully onto the original part of the exhaust.
Has anyone had the same or simular problem.
I would need an extention piece to allow them to sit equally on the bike , any suggestions please, have I done something wrong, and any quick fix solutions.

Never seen them, but if it has link pipes and they are different lengths it could be that you need to swap them around to get to fix it. I recall reading something like this in a post on here somewhere, probably wasn't for the same exhausts, but it was for the DL1000 so it could be the same thing for you. Are the cans the same length?

yes they are the same length plus the decals determine the side to fit to?

I think Dogpuf has these fitted to his 'Strom, why not drop the feller a PM. I'm sure he'll be happy to offer advice.

I'm guessing you have the link pipes on the wrong sides, they are different lengths. Swap the link pipes around and I think you will find they line up

any further help required just let me know :thumb:
