Jeez, they've bought out the next one already? They never fully sorted out the 400. Still has loads of issues if you look on the forum.

I have the 400 and it works, but has loads of niggles. TomTom kind of lost interest in fixing it and moved into the next one. kind of like they shipped out a half finished product.

Just niggles like the fact I can't upload POIs over 2mb... Common problems like condensation behind the screen...

I have just bought a 410, as Sportbike Shop were selling them £100 off and couldn't find much different to the latest 450. Worked great on a recent trip to Germany once I got my head around the changes to my original TomTom Rider menus.

Hello,

I have been using a 410 for the last year (31000+ miles total), both on bike and in car. Honestly I have never had a single issue with it. I've kept it updated and works fine. Battery is quite good on it if your not hardwiring into the bike, about 6-7hrs use.
I choose it as there was a cash back offer from TomTom at the time, and that it has nice clear display and came with lifetime map updates and traffic updates.

I would recommend it.

I fitted a TomTom Rider 450 just before doing a 2000+ mile ride up to Sweden and back.
The ride was very wet at times and the 450 totally lost the plot during the worst conditions.
The screen would change from the map to the select menu and I could not change it back. On two occasions it rebooted randomly.
In dry conditions it is not too bad although it does sometimes rotate the screen view 90 degrees, this seems to occur when leaning slightly on long fast bends.
Overall the thing is a disappointment. Having to resort to Google maps on my phone when riding through a severe storm in Denmark did not really impress me very much.

My 400 does this randomly too! Bloody annoying, sods law says it does it just as the junction you want is coming up...

Conversely, I haven't had any problems with my 410, although it's not been out in a torrential downpour.
