« on: December 16, 2011, 19:30:44 »
Actuall y for my daughter! Our old small size spare helmet gave up the ghost so I need a new, cheap onre for daughter...she really wants one like mine, but no way (though Schuberth C3s are around for 239 quid again, I see)

Anyway, she's 16 and so butterfingered I can see it getting dropped ,,,been looking at this flip with sunvisor sharp 4 stars.. Duchinni...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DUCHINNI-D619 ... 8960b1f237

Anybody any knowledge of these ??

I've got a Duchinni lid (D409), seems alright. A bit noisy at speed, but nothing too bad, and the seal around the visor isn't great, I get a bit of moisture in during this... unpleasant weather.

All in all, not bad!

When looking for a helmet for my son I looked at the SHARP test results. Their 5 star rating was what I was looking for, and I got a really good 5 star helmet for £100. It surprised me how some very expensive helmets were rated lower. Now all testing is subjective but I feel the current euro standard is lower than the old BSI version that it replaced so any other testing regime which has consistent results should be considered.
