I'm able to remove the shock in 5 minutes, practice makes perfect!
Pop it on centre stand, loosen off the two shock bolts and the link bolt on the swinging arm, remove shock lower bolt then top bolt, pull the shock towards the rear wheel, twist shock 90° if I remember and remove between the subframe rails on the left, clutch side, you'll see as you do it.
No Hagon, YSS or Ohlins for the 2014 on vstrom, choice is Wilbers, Hyperpro or Nitron.
Ps cover the lower subframe rail with duck tape as its a tight close fit and the paint is thin.
