intro
« on: December 05, 2019, 18:18:06 »
By way of introduction; I've owned a 2012 v-strom 650 since it was bought new from Kyoto Motos in Queretero, Mexico. I live in Puerto Vallarta Mex., now. The bike has been fun and very reliable - it's only got about 10,000 miles on it and looks quite new - no dents or scratches. I used to tour the country on it but haven't used it much in the past 5 years or so. It's not my first bike by any means; the first was an Ariel Huntmaster 650 twin, that I also had a lot of fun with - half of it in Dad's garage. Over the years I've had about 10 other bikes, mostly Jap and German with a regretful salting of Italian. I've ridden lord knows how many miles...yes, I'm old, damnit! So, there you are - glad to be on the forum finally. What brings me here after all this time is a sudden electrical problem...I went to crank her over for a trip up the coast with my wife and though I've got lots of bright headlight all I'm getting is a "click" and nada de "crank". Time to get my rusting tools out I guess.......
Nice to be hear all the same, Tom

:welcome: Have the battery load tested, to rule out a bad battery.
