Title: Unfortunate choice of words
Post by: Froglodyte on March 28, 2024, 11:11:21
I was watching a video by TMF the other day (yes, I know! ). He was complaining about the standard mirrors on the RE Classic 350 vibrating. One of his subscribers replied "I fitted bar end mirrors to mine and haven't looked back".
I thought the whole purpose of mirrors WAS to look back.

I saw that TMF review and his comment regarding the mirrors. All I can say is until he rides my Guzzi he won't know just how much a mirror can shake.

My reply would be "feck off pal it's a single!"
The 500cc Bullet my wife had would rattle fillings and  teeth out when sat at the lights.

I liked TMF in the early days, but now he's pompous and compares a 5 grand budget biketo his new goldwing!
I won't watch his videos or that Richie Veda boke, in fact I'd rather cover my nuts in jam and teabag an ant nest!

Brocket I’m surprised you say your Guzzi vibrates, mine is as smooth as silk. It only starts vibrating when I run the engine, I think this is called character.

yes but no but I wasn't complaining about the Guzzi no I was just remarking that there TMF  is a soft arse who don't know what a real bike feels like and them people what says they like classic bikes and the new Gold Star is just pretentious junk wouldn't have ever liked the original Gold Star what needed kicking and fiddling with advance and retard lever and a bit of choke  let alone tickling the carbs would they? no they prefers their Goldwings and BMWs that match their range rovers and such what only goes to waitrose for the weekly shopping innit.  As told by Vicky Pollard

Dead right, Brockett. They bang on about "character" - my old pre-unit Bonneville had character. Handled like a shopping trolley and pumped out oil from every orifice at every opportunity. I still loved it though. Now they seem to think a bike is no good if it doesn't have radar cruise control and self cancelling indicators.
