Run out in the car.
« on: May 03, 2023, 20:32:40 »
A good friend, from the age of 16 when we started our biking adventures, had a stroke in early January & has been house bound since he got out of hospital at the beginning of March. I promised to take him out for the day as soon as he felt fit enough & today was the day.
He likes the old classics & as I'd heard Hoar Park, Nuneaton, was a decent bikers meet on a Wednesday so we headed there.
After a nice breakfast and a couple of hours looking at the bikes we headed for Huggy's at Mallory Park to do the same. Not another breakfast though, just a coffee & looking at more bikes, although it seems a lot of them were the same ones as at Hoar Park, they move from one to the other. Both places were really busy.
A great day with the sun shining.
One V-Strom 1050 & a KLV spotted.
Some photos.......

A lot of evocative bikes. Glad the sun shone for you and your friend.

An excellent example of the generosity of our Mick.

Good on you for using some of your meagre annual leave for such a kind act.
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

I'll be putting extra hours in to make up for the hours lost.  :thumb:

I should think so to. That cash in the telephone kiosks won't collect itself will it?

Not many left now and I doubt much money (other than for drug deals) goes into them nowadays. Not even our caravan dwelling friends bother to rob them anymore!  :)
