Arrow 71816AKN on Vee2
« on: September 09, 2014, 22:16:00 »
Just installed Arrow 71816AKN on my DL1000 2014.
WOW !!!!
Put it straight on without db killer. Loud, deep sound, just the way I want it. On slow manouvering it's loud and deep. On speed it seems not that loud but I can't confirm that because my Givi Airflow still hasn't arrived and all I can hear at speed is wind noise with stock screen.

What do you think about the exhaust after a few months with it on?

I love it. The sound is good, not too loud but well heard when filtering traffic. I still flip the throttle every single time I enter my garage, just to enjoy the eco.
Cleaning is easy. Just quick wipe with wet cloth and matt black is back. No scratches on it, it still looks the same as it looked the day I took it out of the box.

Can I ask a dumb question please?

I presume that as it's a 14 bike the new exhaust is purely for the sound/looks? Any performance increase?

Thanks

Just had a Beowulf exhaust fitted. great sound, few bhp gain. Throttle feels more responsive now.

Fear is just an illusion!

You're right about the bike :thumb:

A little extra performance, about half the weight, better tone usually, and doesn't look like a dustbin:

Whilst searching on exhausts and noise levels I read on a Community Police forum their discussion on noise etc, and there would appear to be a possible problem if you buy an exhaust, ie any part of the system, only for the increase in noise. So I'll be buying them for only the weight reduction

5% power increase will not increase the premiums with my insurer, though YMMV.

Went for the Arrow exhaust as well, better looks and it sounds like a v-twin now. :) Currently have the baffle in but planning to pop it out at some point for comparison.
