Hi Chaps,
(2018 xt650) the stock end can has yet again burned a hole in my throw-over bags,
If the can was just 50mm lower it would solve the problem.
Anyone got any Tips / ideas / or methods to lower the can.
thanks in advance, Edd.

Would it not be easier to raise the throw over bags by 50mm or more?
Maybe post a picture of the problem, so that someone can suggest a solution.

I have used the Buffallo sport throwover bags from my old Fazer, they are angled to miss high level sports cans and the velcro straps can be pulled tight to miss. Not perfect but as I already had them I made do.
Or something like the oxfords maybe.

I bitten the Bullitt, going with Oxford P60r and a roll bag.
(if these burn, I'm getting a sidecar).
Cheers Edd.

I have the Oxford roll bag,it is good but day to day I use their tailpack.

I have used 1/4 " stainless self tappers to semi permanently fix the base of the pack to the bike by screwing the straps into the seat base underneath. If I need more capacity /carry a pillion I can unzip the bag and use it as a backpack leaving the padded base for the pillion to sit on .Being soft luggage it is amazing what odd shaped things can be crammed in.A full bag for life of shopping is easy, yet then zip the expanders closed when not needed to keep it streamlined.
And the bungee mesh on the top is a great place to put your gloves while taking your lid off.Stops them blowing away and landing in a puddle  ,so I have been told :thumb:
