WEMOTO Vstrom Indicator
« on: August 04, 2010, 20:47:16 »
To put it simply...the budget solution
£21 front right indicator w. clear lens.
No Nut or Washer supplied

my only fault...is that the stalk itself is rubber rather than plastic.
so it feels flimsy and wiggles about a lot. but the lens holder is plastic...but not as good as the proper ones.
BUT....it looks the part and does the job...and certainly better than...

and within 10 minutes...

Service was good...Ordered on Monday, dispatched yesterday and arrived today...no hassle, and got the funky complimentary WorldsEndMotorbike key ring
Lauren: Hamish...where are the seatbelts on this thing?

Me: it's a motorbike...it's got no seatbelts

Lauren:...get some....you need them!

oh and I feel I should add.

you might notice that the indicator looks a little dimmer.
this is because I've installed tin foil in the others to make them brighter
this pic was taken prior to me putting some in the replacement

Rebuild your old indicator with the parts of the new one. That way you can have a stiff stalk again (no pun intended, OK, maybe just a little...)

I am currently using a sainsburys bag to cover the broken indicator lens as it's orange too and doesn't look too bad :/ lol

I'm glad I didn't buy a new one as I dropped it again and would have broken the new one.. so I am going to keep the plastic bag solution until I really need a new one...

yeah...I had the same thought...but it's been a year and no incidents...so am risking it.
I'm keeping the old one just in case.
I'll give it a couple of weeks then I think I'll take Juv up on that suggestion and cannabalise it for the strong and sturdy stalk

fortunately the wiggly indicator is blocked from my field of vision by the brake fluid reservoir.
but I am concious of it lol...
the stalk of the replaced indicator is intact...so I'm going to see if I can't switch them over...should be simple enough.
then I'll make the rubber stalk one the emergency replacement :D
a task for tomorrow methinks
