After deciding to move the living room around, I picked up the sofa at one end and quickly caught my toe nail and ripped it backward, almost completely off.

I think this one beats Juv's thumb from just before ST6

Jeeze that looks bad. I'm off riding too after having my tonsils out. Then the wounds ruptured at home where I lost over a pint and a half of blood, lost conscience because of sudden blood loss, got stabilised by a rapid response paramedic and whisked to A&E by ambulance, with blood still coming from my mouth and nose (luckly a lot less).
I'm sane, honestly. . . I got a certificate to prove it!

I have to say it he certainly earned extra man card points today, barely even flinched!! I on the other hand nearly fainted before running to the chemist in my slippers for sterile dressings as had nothing bigger than a childs finger plaster in the house.
Also willbo that sounds terrifying hope you're feeling better now xx

Bloody hell... having had my toenail removed in an operation when I was in my early teens, I know how painful that is just from having the dressings changed!  Extra man card points indeed!

:GRR: More like grabbed the tape from me in a fit of bad patient syndrome!! I was not letting you touch it before it was covered and safe from your grease stained paws!!!
The extra man points still stand, I would've called an ambulance if it was me and needed gas and air  :shy:

that's looks really shocking, mr diver...yeuk! Bloody painful. No slippers? Tut!

Slippers might stop you biting the other ones down as well ;-)

Cut a teabag open, trim to about ten nail sized pieces, superglue each onto the wound one at a time, letting each layer dry before applying the next.  Hello presto, new nail.

A disgrace to biking...

That looks very painful, definitely worse than mine, but I still hold the title for the one that injured myself in the most idiotic way :) It's going to be bothering you for weeks, every time you have to put on or take off shoes.

What's this about almost feinting, Jen? Nurses can't be squeamish :neen:

I'm not normally, but this was especially bad, I think it was more empathy than squeamishness but in real life it was much worse than the picture and easily in the top 3 of most disgusting injuries I've dressed.

And it's because it's someone you care for, it's always more alarming if that's the case :)

My good lady watches some gory crime drama stuff, but freaked out when I got my finger pinched lol

FFS Diver , that looks a mess . How you feeling now ? Good job you have your own A&E dept in the house  lol . I had half my big toe nails removed due to in-growing and didn't have no pain but having one ripped off makes me shiver ...No worries if you can't make it on sat ...
