Running in
« on: August 06, 2008, 20:27:06 »
OK so I got my new  Vee last Friday  :D
Read the manual like a good boy and am following the running in guidence but to be honest I am getting fed up with short shifting to keep it below 500 revs.  ###
Managed to do 170 miles in between the rain so far.
I will continue to try and pootle along but is it really that important?
I'm not going to thrash it but just to make the ride smoother and not have to look at the dials all the time!!

Blimey, mine won't even tickover at 500RPM, let alone do 170 miles  :D

Don't know about thrashing it - I rode basically to Zuks recommendation and also gave it some revs on very light loads.  Didn't lug it though.....
