I've just test ridden a 2010 650 Strom and it didn't have ABS!

Was ABS an option on the bike back then?

PS - If I can shift my NC750X I will be buying the 650 Strom  :lala:

The LOMO Vizallo 40L roll bag is back in stock, so got one to replace my 10 year old Held roll bag. It’s slightly bigger than the Held, so I’m guessing the Held was a 35L, or maybe even a 30L.

I’ve attached some photos. The advantage with this bag system is all the securing straps came with it.

£39 plus p&p (£6.95). I also purchased several other items which aren’t listed in the motorcycle section, so p&p may be less if you just buy the bag.🤷‍♂️

Now I’m just waiting for it to warm up by about 10 or 15 degrees, so I can do a test run.😉

I've got reminders set up for car and bike, I get texts from dvla or the government to tell me they're due.

I spoke to a man who's forgotten more about bikes than I'll ever know.
This is what he said....
Normal bleeding procedure as per non ABS.
Then activate front and rear ABS in a controlled manner.
Job done but after a couple of ABS interruptions if you wish to be anal, bleed it again.
I followed this on my 2017 without incident.
I do believe dealers and mechanics may have access to the sort of set up you mention. But in the opinion of my man......no need.
Good luck.

Thinking I should bleed up the ABS on my 650, previous owner never had it bled and I'm concerned about it packing up. The front brakes are strong but the back is awful and wonder if the ABS could be part of that, previous owner bled new fluid through and checked the caliper.
I seem to remember a post about an OBD device that can activate the ABS to bleed, and seen the post about home making one, what is the best way to bleed the ABS without going to a dealer?

The Blue Oyster bar / MOT Due Tomorrow. Hooray!

I have just had a look through my motorbike documents to see when I changed the oil last and realised that my MOT is due tomorrow. Wow! What a happy coincidence that I found out about the MOT before it runs out and also because I had a day planned tomorrow, washing cloths, the house and a little gardening, but now I've got to go for a ride instead. :auto-dirtbike:.

I always go to the same MOT tester in Plymouth where I lived for most of my life (born in Liverpool but lets not mention Liverpool today after yesterday's performance) and although I now live about 45miles away but still go to the same fellow who has become a mate. So, I nice ride over Dartmoor for me tomorrow, getting airborne over the bridge at Postbridge, on to Princetown for a quick cup of tea then to Plymouth for the MOT.

It's strange that I just know I'll get lost on the way home and end up riding a lot more than 45miles on the way back. It may even stay dry :thumb:
