@hesky66
I'm enjoying it very much ! 1 week and 200 miles, hoping to get the 600 mile service in before the winter hits.
The engine is really good, I find it really wants to rev, so looking forward to opening the bike up soon. Lots of low down power too. Handles really well, light and flickable for such a heavy machine. Only time I notice weight is when I push it around.
Heated grips are not as good as the Oxford ones I had on my 650. They work OK, but I picked them as they blend in better and you don't have a big square box stuck to the handlebars. It's a shame Suzuki did not merge the electronics into the dash so you can see what level heat you are on, the tiny lights are difficult to read and you have to watch them flash to work out the setting you are on while keeping an eye on the road !
Just ordered Ultimateaddons phone case/mount for the crossrail above the display, that should be fine. Very happy with having a centre stand once again - should have got one fitted to my 650 when I had it.
Only concern I really have is keeping the spoked wheels in good condition. The stories you hear on the forums are worrying. Hopefully Suzuki have learned from previous models and these are good... time will tell !
Yup, the brakes are really good, but then the 650 ones are shockingly bad (to me, maybe I'm used to really good brakes before the 650 on other bikes).
I'd like to get a pair of side cases which slot into the fixings without having to have a frame fitted - but at around £900 for the bits and pieces I'll give that a miss. Blimey their accessories are expensive !!!!
So, I'm using a small back-pack when I know I need to pick things up.
Hope you are having great fun getting to know the new bike !!
