Hello from Wiltshire
« on: March 11, 2024, 21:13:42 »
Hello, owned my DL1000 from new since 2008 so not sure why it’s taken me so long to find this forum!

My first and only bike having come late to riding….did my test in my early 40s.

Apart from touring the south west we’ve had tours round Spain & Portugal and Holland, Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic.

Here’s a photo (if I’ve attached it right??)

Cheers.  Only mod is the addition of engine bars and I prefer bungeeing on a rucksack to the hard panniers when travelling.

:welcani: Knew Devizes well when I lived in Westbury back in the 90's. Do they still sell sell a great pint of Waddies in the Bear?

The Bear is still going strong but you would notice a few pubs missing from the 90s.  Wadworths Brewery in the town centre is closing as they’re relocating to just outside town.  Not sure what will happen to the lovely building, flats I guess?

Hi Sea Strom.  The dray horses and cart are still used but not as often….saw them out and about last week delivering beer.  Again, not sure what will happen when the old brewery closes and they lose the stabling.
