@ King Orry - not just me who thought that then!

Impressive work! 3D printing seems to have loads of uses.

Me too :shy:
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

Yesterday.......... fitted new front brake pads.  Had a bit of trouble starting it, after sitting in the garage for over 3 months, must of turned it over for 10-15 seconds before it fired up. Then took it out for an hour to check it was all OK.  Felt really good to be riding it again!   :thumb:

Maybe I should print some tread and stick it on the mudguard  :)

Ordered a Oxford oximiser 900 optimiser ( they seem to get very good reviews) on Friday from sportsbikeshop.co.uk for just over £27, arrived this morning (very good for 2nd class post). Very easy to fit to battery, all now working battery well topped up , just waiting for some better weather to give it a proper run.  :sunny:

Nice one. I'll be going smaller next time too, though it might be a year or two yet. My shortlist is the tracer 700, new strom 650 or the new gs750. Good luck with the new bike.

MOT time for mine too. No problem!  :thumb:
Also had the chain & sprockets changed while it was in, 26,000 miles on originals and the lad said although the chain had started to 'go a bit' the sprockets were fine, he said if it was his bike he'd have left it for another few thousand! But better safe than sorry!!  :thumb:
I think the mini PD oiler has done a good job?

I took the Stromburger to my wife's house/ garage and swapped onto the wee which I brought back to mine. 43 miles each way. Not warm at only 3 degrees, the sun soon went (when will we see that again?) Keiss heated jacket ( I love it) set on medium was slightly too hot. I didn't need heated grips nor did I use the Stromburger's seat heater.
This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can.

Did 107 miles today in Northern Ireland. Went to the new Lake Torrent race track at Coalisland to see how that's progressing. It's a big, muddy hole in the ground as far as I can see. No tarmac laid. Couple of JCBs parked around about. Muddy roads too.

Went on to Cookstown and up past Lough Fea - lovely road. Then up into the Sperrin Mountains towards Plumbridge - it's an epic road. Lots of snow flecked mountains, the road's like a roller coaster in places, very little traffic. Just brilliant. Stopped for coffee in Plumbridge, then on to Gortin and back towards Cookstown. I did a lap of the Cookstown 100 road race circuit near Orritor. I have no idea how they race round somewhere so tight. The lap record was not in danger.

From there I went by the back roads to Stewartstown then back home. Very enjoyable. I took some photos https://imgur.com/a/L4muL

Oil and oil filter changed. Nice easy access filter not like the cbr600rr where it was tucked behind the exhaust pipes.

Fitted a cobrra Nemo 2 oiler. Didn't like it dangling against the rear sprocket so bought it up through through the rubber chain guide on the swing arm. In theory it should work. I'll let you know once I have run it a while. Going to try gear oil as I have some spare.
I look quick therefore I am.

I have tried all manner of oils, chain oils, hydraulic plus gear/chainsaw oil blends in winter.Found the best is ordinary engine oil,and it cleans off much easier and is much cheaper than anything else.Plus you don’t get the stink in the garage that you do with gear oil based oils.

Fitted Oxford heated grips with Grip Puppies over those, wired in the Garmin SatNav, 80% done on the Scottoiler, just the priming left todo. Oh, and I set the clock to the correct time ;-)
In my defence, she did leave me unsupervised.
