Viper cans
« on: November 27, 2014, 21:10:44 »
I got a set of Viper slip-ons fitted today...........my god, they are loud. I persuaded a dealer who had a 2005 DL1000 for sale to swap the Viper exhaust of his one for the standard exhaust off mine with €100 going to him (he done the fitting)  The baffles are missing which is probably why he accepted the deal. I ride a Ducati 996 with a full, open 50mm Termignoni system...........my Vstrom is now louder!!!
As well as the sound, the throttle response is greatly improved and the bike is now a joy to ride. I had read that the quality and finish of Viper cans wasn't great but I can't find any fault with them. I also got him to fit a "SV Racing" fork brace.
The 120 mile trip was a lot more fun on the way home!!!

I'm beginning to think it's too loud.........I might have to invest in the removable baffles (€75)
