My Suzi with different screens
« on: March 07, 2012, 19:56:12 »
Thought I share with you my advanture with finding the most optimum screen for me.

First was the standard Suzuki, clear screen, which was OK but I was looking for better look.

Next came MRA Vario. brilant for clearing the wind and rain. Screen adjustable little screen combine with standard 4 setting of mounting rack you can set it to whatever position is required.

Last one is the sport, short tinted screen. I just love how it looks on the bike. Gives it the character that I was after, Yes, the wind protection is compromised but I am not forseeing any long jurneys in the nearest future.

Show off yours

For long trips and/or cold weather.

For blasting around town.

Both screens and the mount they share are from MP, which is now, sadly, out of business.
Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. 2012 DL650A outlasted me.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 (K2-L2) DL1000s. Veek=2014+ (L4+) DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 (K4-L1) DL650s. Glee = 2012+ (L2+) DL650s

I have the best of both worlds with my Givi Airflow coz its 2 screens I just attach the top one when I need it....  The bottom one is like standard on the lowest position.

That is very cool. How do you find the wind protection with both on? It is shaped just like the standard Suzuki one

As you see by the top pic, the top screen has a flip that works well. Even on lowest setting I can ride with visor up 70mph no probs and then it will raise a lot higher for better protection.

Just using the lower screen on its own offers about the same as standard and that's how I use the bike on all but long journeys.

The bike had that screen on when I bought it.  I will take close up pics when I get chance.
