Hi people,
after being a couple of months on this forum I realised (thanks to Andy's reminder)I haven't really introduced my self to this forum.
so here I am, originally I am from Slovakia and I have been living in London for nearly 6 years. after riding 125cc scooter for almost for two years I chose to buy my first bike in march this year and after a lot of research which bike would suit me best I decided to buy V-strom DL650(and I love it), it was ex demo bike, it has 09 reg plate and when I bought this great machine it has 2500 miles on the clock(now 9000). already done some modification to this bike, as a first I fitted my bike with crash bars and hand guards. it followed with centre stand,top box, MRA Vario 20"Touring screen, aprilia mirrors, cigarette lighter socket and with my own gps holder, which I made at work. all this thanks to this forum and very nice and helpful people here.
two weeks ago I returned from my first big trip. I went from London to Slovakia,just on my own, mostly stayed of motorways used camping sites during the nights and I chose the most scenic route trough Austrian and Swiss Alps.
the bike was running so smoothly,I didn't have any problem on my way and the weather was brilliant apart from one day on my way back to UK, it was raining all day and night in Swiss Alps.
it was the best holiday I have been on in my life. pics from my trip will come soon to this forum.
now I am looking forward to my next trip in two weeks to Wales to meet you all there. hopefully weather will be nice.
