Recommend air temperature gauge
« on: July 03, 2020, 20:50:59 »
Been using on old LED aquatic temperature gauge, but is cheap and looks rubbish. What air temperature gauge, that you mount on dashboard/handlebars, do you use?

 Cheers

Stay rubber side down!

Only the 650 from 2012 and 1000cc from 2014 had air temp gauges.

You're all lucky to have fuel gauges, my Varadero doesn't have either temp or fuel gauge.

funny, I just posted about my lack of fuel gauge in another thread.

Yes the trip meter is a good idea of fuel level, but all depends how hard you're riding.

Does have a fuel light and a count down from 30 mile remaining that you'll be lucky to get 18 miles out of.

Even the earliest bikes I owned had a low fuel level warning.

Fuel gauges are for the less adventurous of us!
I have no gauges: the 990 has a light that triggers a new trip (20 miles in theory but never pushed it) and the other three have reserve taps. The SP3 did come with a light but they were notorious for 'forgetting' to mention it was running low until far too late, so the original owner ditched that & fitted the reserve taps. Air temp is gauged purely by the test monkey on the seat.

I bought this cheap air temp gauge of eBay. It's quite discreet and works reasonably well.
