Sportsbikeshop, amazing service
« on: January 15, 2023, 16:58:02 »
I had a Goretex Richa jacket that came from Sportsbikeshop, at a recent ride up to the NEC in torrential rain, the jacket leaked in multiple places.

I had owned the jacket a week shy of a year, I wasn't sure how the warranty would hold up. I needn't have worried. Sportsbikeshop fell over themselves to take my jacket back, test it (?) and then declare it unrepairable. I had a replacement jacket in just over a week.

The comms were great every step of the way and I can't fault them at all. I know where my next purchase will be going  :thumb:

Good to be able to visit their store in Birmingham too.

Plus one for Sportsbikeshop.

I had an issue with some Givi metal panniers and other than the ball ache of Givi initially wanting the whole set back to check the issue on a small bracket.

They handled the whole issue promptly and without fuss.

I have bought from them but never had to send anything back. They are first class and I have and would recommend them to everybody. They are what every store should be, first class and usually cheaper than their competitors too.  :thumb:

Definitely, hands down, the best customer service. Maybe even topping Amazons (actually, yes, yes it does).

Only thing I've had to return "faulty", my pinlock pins snapped on my visor approx 8 months after getting it. They wanted the visor back for inspection, then if faulty, they were going to replace with a new visor anyway (they did not have stock of the pins, nor the distributor), so asked if they could send a visor out, and I'd send mine back when I received it, and then I didn't need to worry about packaging either!

Perfect, no hassle, visor replaced and faulty one sent back in the box, and no extra money changed hands.

Sportsbikeshop are brilliant,  a friend of mine runs thier Harlow branch, I've ordered stuff through him and still get the same brilliant service.
If you visit the branch,  the staff are at the entrance waiting to greet you offering a tea/coffee as soon as you walk through the door.

His sales figures are eye-watering ..

Edit that. I ordered a tank ring for my VStrom but I ordered the wrong one (online).

I rang them and they said take it into Birmingham and they will change it - no charge even though opened. Top service.
Pal of mine ordered some clothing that can be tried on instore before committing to the purchase.

I must have got them on a bad day because they where very unhelpful with a return for me. I guess everyone has an off day sometimes.

I received a V47 which had a dent in the alloy lid plate. Givi sent me a replacement plate rather than ship back a whole case, and SBS dealt with the return of the faulty plate with no fuss.

I’m just about to send my first warranty return for some boots, which have ripped along the seam between upper and sole. So far, since yesterday evening the communication has been great, and I’m sitting here with a returns label waiting for new boots to arrive so I can use the box to send the return in!

I needed to return a helmet to them as the front vent fell off after a couple of months, they sent it off then emailed me to say it had been repaired and they would return it to me as soon as they got it back. I told them I wouldn't feel safe using it and they agreed with me and issued a refund straight away

Just to close this, I had emails regarding the return/arrival/agree to refund, all within a few days (returned via DPD in a Saturday) and a request to confirm my address so a replacement could be sent. I’d already bought a replacement pair of boots, so requested a refund, duly confirmed by Sportbikeshop, and receipts my account, all without hassle.
Thumbs up from me too then!
Having said that, I do like to buy from local suppliers too, as I want up them to remain in business and be just around the corner, ( or a 60 mile ride away… just as an excuse sometimes 😂👍).
