As the previous post, I also prefer side loading panniers.
I have Shad SH36 with 3P support.
Maybe better because:
They are more light than alus.
You have more loading flexibility with side loading than top side loading.
They are cheaper than the others.
Also I had H&B semirigid panniers on my old Bandit 650, with C bow fitting system.
They was waterproof (also 12 years later), lights and C bow its nice, because seems like there is no pannier frame in the machine.
