This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can.

“Powerhouse” That’s where I got my front caliper rebuild kits for my L2 from. I got them before I stripped them down,if I had known how marked the pistons were, I would have bought the kits including pistons. They cleaned up OK though with a “Dremel” type tool and brass rotary wire brush.
Good prices and quick delivery. 👍

Job done, brakes already tested, they are sharp already even that I have to worn them in. Happy 🙂

thanks a lot. :ty:  I meant put rubber grease around the seals, not all over the piston

There is nothing wrong with putting it on the piston, anything that catches the salt and keeps it off the piston surface is only for the good.
I recently had a look at both of my front calipers as they were done last January and both sides still had a visible film of grease.Mind you I do wash them down with a gentle wash from the hosepipe when I wash the bike, which is every time it’s been out this winter.Brake fluid mixes with water easily so it is washed off the pistons VERY easily.

I squirt brake cleaner all over then free-wheel bike into garage, tapping brakes slightly on the way. Always keeps brakes free and ready to roll next time out.
