For those of you thinking of fitting a rack to your top box I would advise against it.
Yes it is handy, but the bars make quite a good perch for feathered vermin.
The perch for birds isn't so bad but it's what the birds do when there is the problem.

Just fit some of the spikes they have on public buildings. I'm sure it would be very effective.

Pigeons are vermin and should be shot.
But wait .... my mates blue Hyabusa, parked under a lamp standard on Southend sea front for a couple of hours was decorated by seagulls to the extent that it was camouflaged as a really big pile of poo.
