'V-Strom'
« on: January 08, 2015, 21:39:10 »
Just a light look at the name.  :shy:

'V' is apparently the motor alignment, no argument there. 'Strom' is a German word (pronounced "schtrom") which means stream or current. Well, last weekend my daughter's German boyfriend informed me that it can be electric current and not only flowing water. So are we swimmers or volts?!?!

So how's it going so far then?

When we were looking through a book of baby names a year ago, I came across 'Strom' as a boys name. The book said it was German for 'lover of water', unfortunately the Suzi cheap finish quality doesn't match the claim  :neen:

It seems to apply to many sources of current or flow, electrical, water and wind. I like the idea of going with the flow.

The O-Strom must have a Wankel engine and would be better named an 8-Strom, much like our bikes should be L-Stroms.
