I am interested .. Recently bought a DL1000GT 07 (my profile picture) and currently my gps/intercom is wired directly across the battery, and at some point I will forget to remove the gps and get a flat battery .. Will it fit this bike and is the switched power supply easy to find ?

Hi Bigpie,

Yep, I'm interested. Will be adding a satnav to my L7 for an overseas trip so this will be useful.

Components on order, should be ready to send out in a week or so, I'll post and PM when they're done.

Wish I'd have seen this before connecting the Sat Nav to the horn, and then cutting into wires for my LED lights, it all works OK but this is a brilliant idea.

+1.
Is the connector on the K7 Vee in the same place under the rear of the tank as it is on the Wee?

I found the relevant connector on my Vee. It’s under the back of the tank and I was able to access it without unbolting or lifting the tank or anything else. I’ve now installed Bigpie’s fuse box. I’d post photos but I can’t work out how to do it. Sorry.

It’s a lovely bit of kit, but I’d like to waterproof it somehow. It needs some sort of tight rubber cover that can be stretched over it. A condom would work perfectly (!), but before I resort to that I’ll do some research for less risqué alternatives. I won’t push my luck by asking for suggestions!

It should be fine under the seat, Christ knows what accident investigation will think you're up to if you're unlucky enough and they find a black box in a condom.

Any more interested? I've had a pm, so if there's more interested I'll get some more made up. No condoms included.
