I was at Bridge Motorcycles a few weeks ago and spoke to a lady who was riding one, her man had one too. That was the first time I had seen one. lovely bike. GLWS, I can't help but think that a picture or two might get lots of interest from those who have never seen one. A really cold looking bike.  :auto-dirtbike:

If you type "C" "O" "O" "L" on this site it appears as cold?

Was in my local KTM/Fantic dealer getting a puncture repaired and they had one in.
A classy looking thing.
They also had a £8500 Fantic E mountain bike that caught my eye .
WOW.

My God! £8500 for a peddle bike. You would have to be very rich to spend that much on an electric bike and absolutely mad too. I don't know how such a mad person could accumulate so much money to just blow. It would have to be a win or inheritance I guess. I wonder if they have sold one yet?

I'm not against bikes and own two and this is just my opinion. Please don't be offended if you have been mad enough to purchase one.  :thumb:

Me ........no I won't be buying one.
But a mate just has spent £10,000 on a race (push) bike, carbon frame battery powered sequential 20 gear shifter 12 kilos all in.
£8500 is not much if it is your passion, just like (motor)bikes .
By the way the fantic E bike has more torque than my 650..............think about that in something weighing 15 odd kilos.

This explains why some push bikes cost a lot.

My friends said yesterday I should have bought a car instead of a motorbike as they wouldn't waste money on one

Horses for courses.
Now horses that is crazy money.
And BOATS............shit I build them , not own them.
Owning, let alone buying a boat is like standing in the shower while burning £50 notes.
We took one of our first offshore boats down to the Southampton boat show and decided to motor it there rather than trailer it as a shakedown.
It cost over £1000 in fuel ONE way.
That E bike looks like a steal compared.

Those friends who said buy a car instead of a motorcycle, are they still your friends?

Oh! Thank you for the link, it was a good watch and I enjoyed it but I'm not convinced. I have a Brompton and thought that was super expensive.  :thumb:

Two of my mates bought a boat. An old timer moored next to them explained what a boat was : "a boat is a hole in the water where you pour all your money."

True
And don't forget boat tax.
Not that one.
I was with a friend who was shopping for a clock in one of those posh interior design shops and she spotted an "old" maritime themed clock she liked  for £200.Huge big thing.
I had seen the exact same one in a Chandlery (boat spares shop) for £370.
That boat tax....
More money than sense?

Right I'm back.
Collected the Bike in the van & safely back home.
Couple of pictures if you fancy something like this. Actually not bad at all.
If I don't sell it now, I may as well insure it and have a few jollies about.
And fit a number plate.

Two of my mates bought a boat. An old timer moored next to them explained what a boat was : "a boat is a hole in the water where you pour all your money."

A few years ago, I sold a 1992 Royal Enfield 500 Bullet to a chap who sold boats/yachts on the Costa del sol, he was on a family visit to Lancashire, and he was going to ride the Bullet back to Southern Spain, I wished him the best of luck with that, but I never heard from him again, so I don't know if he made it!

He told me that there were only two days when you were happy with a boat. The day you buy it, and the day you sell it!
