Hello,
This is the newest version, now with 4 outputs in a smaller size and screw terminals. As before, no cutting of the loom on V-Stroms and likely other Suzukis

Done fitted and working like a dream the plug on the 2018 is just in front of the battery thax bigpie.
-
Nice one. Any photos of the install?
-
Will get you some tomorrow
-
Is there a benefit for the solid state relay, over the old 4 pole plug in type?
-
It isn't a SSR, it's just a conventional relay in a smaller package.
-
Earlier version fitted.
-
Could you explain to the technically dim why I would need one? Everyone raves about your old version and I'm going to be using the bike for commuting come next week and feel like this is something I should have, but don't know is why or what it does...
-
It lets you add switched accessories easily. Usually people either wire directly to the battery and run the risk of leaving them (e.g. heated grips) on when they leave the bike, which flattens the battery, or people have to splice into the loom and make their own switched wiring. This does it for you without having to cut into the loom, and has a relay to reduce the load on the stock wiring.
It's a bargain at £30 for a plug and play switched accessory connector with individual fuses.
Edit: mine run, LED spotlights, heated grips, heated jacket, and two cigarette sockets for providing Sat Nav and dashcam power.

I was showing a friend of mine my mk1 Aux Fuse box on my Glee yesterday and he would like to get something similar for his, new to him, 2007 Triumph Tiger 1050.
Is it possible to fit one to this model Triumph? I’m a tech cretin but assume it would depend on finding a suitable wiring connector to tap into, like the Glee one under the back of the tank does?
If you could advise I’ll let him know.
Thanks, Mark.
-
Hmm I don't use any of those extras but I might if I'm commuting. Are they easy to fit?
-
Stonec0ld, very easy, usually just removing the seat is enough. Screw the ring terminals on to the battery, locate the rear brake pedal connector, separate it and put the fusebox wiring between the 2 connectors.
If you collect I'll show you how/help fit.
mrp192, it will work on a Tiger like any other bike, but I don't have access to one to find a suitable connector. I know some people have used a posi-tap on a switched live on other bikes.
-
I think the clue is in the title...but
Assume this allows tidy connection of a number of accessories to a block with individual fuses and block connects simply to battery by two wires with a 'activation switch' from the rear brake? Assume fine for a 2009 reg wee - same wire to rear brake pedal feed.
There seem to be several images floating around the site so wanted to check a couple of things as it's not entirely clear to me - do accessories wires connect via screw rather than male/female bullets? Other images look like bullets, latest looks like a block connector with screws? And in latest pic there is the thick black and red wires + a thin black one - assume that's the one to the rear brake pedal wiring? And what are the rough dimensions please - assume it's up to buyer as to how to attach. PM for order / payment?
Apologies for length of Qs but couldn't find direct answers easily in swathes of original posts.
Feel free to reply as quote with answers as may help others.
I suspect the answers will be as I expect and perhaps then I can post some images myself on purchase / fitting
-
Previous version used bullets, this required the end user to crimp bullets on to accessories, with this version they simply use the screw terminals. 2009 Wee is the same as other stroms.
28mm heigh, 68.5mm in length and 47mm wide.

Fitting to a 09 Weestrom - the wire - orange and grey (or white) and black - in the shadow (under coolant tank, under petrol tank)
-
close up of connector - flipping hard to get to & mine has a cable tie just besides, but easy to disconnect once past the gynecological constrictions :)
-
Disconnect (fairly easy - look at a connector you can get to easily to see where clip is before ferreting about :smirk: - clip in aux each end and move back to a safe point in void and move on to where you want to put the box etc. Good bit of kit and will save considerable faff and any future worries and access problems for add-ons.
-
Cheers for the detailed photos Fritz

I've had a question about water getting in it. Here's a demo
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8nrJ53MUU38
-
Are you now supplying to submariners too?
-
I've had someone buy one and have concerns about rain and crossing streams, though if an submariners need a 12v relay fusebox, I'm your man.
-
Can anyone tell me what fuses I need? Obviously not very electrically minded here.
The live red has a spot for a fuse and also what fuse should I use in the box? Planning to put my heated grips through the box?
-
Heated grips either a 2amp or a 3amp. Just stick at 15 or 20 amp in the main fuse holder.
-
Just got my fuse box from BigPie today. Looks like a good piece of kit and will make things easy for an electricity challenged person like myself!! Will get a few pics of the install once I get it fitted
-
Got mine yesterday. Looks good & I'm sure it'll work just as well. :thumb:
Thanks.
-
I like the design but original is just smaller, I will keep it, it is doing great job :)
-
If you take the bullet connectors out of the equation is the mk1 still smaller? Mk2 just terminates in the unit itself - very neat and easier for the end user.
-
I'll take some side by side photos later, the mk1 on my bike will be replaced by the mk2 that's been under water.
-
Hello Gents
Thanks to Bigpie I have now fitted my auxiliary power fusebox and run the heated grips and USB connector through it, Lights to be added when I finally decide between 55w Halogen or 35w LED's for added visibility on rainy mornings! Pic attached! Very easy install, Thanks Bigpie.
-
Hello BigPie,
Do the dimensions for the Mk2 version given in your post include the fitted fuses and relay?
-
Got mine today thanks! Just need to figure out where it goes...
-
Fitting instructions are here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/11FTXysAKk3hIiyvLd6OXfu5MSnaR1cE-c7zlae6FTTY/edit?usp=sharing :D
-
Instructions pah! Who needs instructions!
Me obviously as I didn't think to put a fuse in... :shy:
-
PM sent, Bigpie.
-
Hello BigPie,
Have also sent you an email re getting a fuse box-
Cheers
-
Little bump, I've a few of these made up awaiting a home.

Bigpie,
PM sent..... :)

Hello BigPie
How much do these cost these days?
-
They cost £325 + VAT and postage but I can let you have one for £175 posted................... lol
-
Shout out to @bigpie for supplying this in good time.
A word of caution though to anyone fitting this to an 09 650 (not up on my strom models but this will apply to anyone with one around the same age as mine)
I don't condone child labour in any shape or form but you are going to need a child's tiny hands to access the relevant wiring switch. Mine was tucked right underneath the coolant tank and it took me a while to find the blighter and there was no give in it at all. After losing a few layers of skin, lots and lots of swearing, and straddling the bike whilst holding a pair of pliers in one hand to hold the female clip whilst I tried to locate the male into it, I got it. But it wasn't easy.
Works like a charm though once fitted.
-
Same thing happened on our bike (2006 K6), but after lifting the tank we managed to cut a large cable-tie to free the cable harness and used long-nosed pliers to insert the connector.
-
Hello there, do you still make these and are they available,
Thank you.
-
There is a bigpie post seven up from yours. Click on the 'speech bubble' under his avatar and you can PM him direct.
-
Bigpie, thanks for the DM reply, and I’m looking forward to a speedy resolution to my current (no pun intended) electrical plans!
-
My Bigpie box has just arrived and my setup seems to be a little different to the instruction photos, so before I started messing with it I thought I'd check here.
The location pictured in the fitting instructions for the rear brake connector doesn't seem to match my bike (2022 650 XT). There is no orange connector in the side panel (top pic), and the only one resembling it is located down below and in front of the fuse box, almost under the coolant (bottom pic). Mine seems to match the instructions for the older models, so wondering if Suzuki moved the location again.
Can anyone confirm to me where I should connect the aux fusebox loom? Ta!
-
It's where the first photo is, check behind the rubber. It'll be there somewhere.
-
Hello I’m new to the forum and so don’t know how this all works but I’d love to get hold of one of fuse boxes. I’m in Sheffield so could pick one up if that’s easier for you let me know how to complete the purchase
Thanks Carl
-
:welcome: Carl.
Probably best sending Bigpie a PM.
If you get time, pop an intro in the introductions section :thumb:

Thanks, I think I have found it, had to cut off a rubber sleeve to get to it. Please tell me I'm right haha

That's the fella.

Finally got some time to hook up the fuse box and attach some spotlights to the Strom, so all that's attached to the batter is this box and an Oxford Oximiser. All working perfectly! Sits very nicely in front of the battery too under the little strap.
I'm now wondering about fitting front/rear cameras and notice that a lot seem to come with red/black wires for the battery and another wire for splicing into an acc line. Since I now have this box, which is on a switched live, I therefore have no need to use the acc line, can anyone tell me if I can attach that wire into the box too?
-
Or actually, just thinking, would I just attach that wire to a piggyback fuse?
-
I wonder if the original version will fit on the vtsrom 800re? Haven't had a test ride yet but it looks like a great bike and a good step up in power from the 650.
-
I suppose it would as long as there's a switched live connection which is compatible?
-
Strominacup - couple of reasons your camera likely has a switched live plus permanent live, one is so that it can do a "parking mode" recording, or more likely (especially if the camera unit does not have an internal battery), so that it can gracefully shut down and save the last bit of video to the SD card without corrupting it.
If unsure, I would wire it as per the manual, red and black to the battery, and use Bigpie's fuse box to trigger the ACC wire.
The advantage of this is that the ACC wire is not likely to draw any significant current, so you could put something else in the same hole too.
