I'm sure we could organise a whipround to buy a saw...

Got a puncture :GRR:
Glass half empty bit, hardly been using the bike what with one thing and another and first decent run out for months flat rear tyre.
Glass half full bit, happened as I was on my way back about three miles from home.
Tyre's squared off and needs changing anyway so rode it back.
Better at fifteen miles an hour than five :)

Gave a little present to my bike. Don't ask me why or did I need this. I have no idea...

From your avatar I assumed you had cut the front off the canoe and fitted to the front of your bike.

I like it. It will be even better when you fit the bit that joins the two sections of mudguard together and then that will keep all the road muck off the underside of the bike.

Does it work though? I have a rear hugger and I get a lot of muck on the underside. Would this extra bit help?

To answer that we'd have to wait for a rainy day. Considering the area I live in, that'll be in few months time... Spring maybe...

No offence taken. I lived for 30 years in rainy part of Europe. Now, for last 25 years I live in dry part of it. Trust me, I don't miss a rain, not a bit...

Ah, and here at far south we don't have biking seasons. I mean, we have but it lasts 365 days a year. It terminates at 24:00h of 31st of December and then we have a long wait (must be because of bad weather) until 00:00h of 1st of January to start our new season. That's what I call hard life for bikers...

Here in the far reaches of the north we don't have riding seasons either, we just pop the part of the brain that deals with "is this a good idea" in the back pocket and carry on through winter

Today I cleaned and oiled the chain, bought a new set of pipe werx tri oval stainless / carbon tip exhausts, a radiator guard and am now impatiently waiting for them all to arrive.

I also bought a new number plate seeing as a ditch visit caused by ice ate my previous one  :smirk:

Got it serviced and MOT'd no issues. Only things he said to me that needed tweaking/correcting were the things I "fettled" or was responsible for ( tyre pressure/chain lube)

Fitted  did chain and jt sprockets, seemed to be a fair bit of life left in the old ones but at 24 000 miles it was probably due.
I bought A bike specific kit from torque racing sadly the chain was two links too long so the trusty dremel and breaker made a guest appearance.  Included in the kit was an ogibene tool for flaring the hollow point masterlink , bit of a faff but worked well.
Whilst ferreting about at the back I discovered  the rear brake pads where well on their way. I’ve ordered some ebc v pads a half way house between the soft organics I’ve been using and the fully sintered HH pads up front.
