I have fitted a few Delkevic exhausts over the years but this one is heads and shoulders above the rest in terms of quality.
The Delkevic 'Titanium' Silencer looks and feels like a quality piece of hardware, equally as good as any of the top brands that are four times the price.
Removal of the OE Exhaust from the DL650 highlights just how heavy and bulky the single piece unit is. Once you have skinned your knuckles getting it off past your Centre Stand and discarded to a corner of the Man Cave (never to be refitted) you can start unpacking the goodies from Delkevic.
Everything is very well packed and the fitting of the new hardware takes a fraction of the time it took to remove the original. The Exhaust comes with instructions but to be honest, I never used them. Stainless fasteners are supplied as standard.
The new components go on easily with a quality feel to the Clamps and interlocking sleeves. As I was fitting the Silencer, the schoolboy in me immediately spotted the Baffle and the single fastener to remove it, I was tempted for a minute but then decided to leave it in. I am glad I did, the sound with the Baffle in is a transformation, the DL650 goes from Sewing Machine to V-Twin Motorbike, the video doesn't do it justice, I would imagine it would be distracting with the Baffle out.
This is from Delkevic "Unlike a few of the other systems on the market, we have incorporated a balance pipe and whilst this makes it a little tricky to fit, it adds considerable mid-range performance and improved throttle response"
I have to say that I didn't find it tricky to fit at all. I haven't had a chance to do any more that have a blast up the road because it has been lashing down here but as soon as I have I shall update this post.
This is a quality Exhaust, it looks good, saves weight and makes your V-Strom sound the way nature intended.

That looks like just the exhaust I'm after. Like that end can shape.
Still pleased with the sound? I like a nice sounding but not loud exhaust. The glee standard unit sounds nice when fully hit after an hour's riding but is way too quiet.
Still impressed how smooth the engine is in general though after my boxer twin BMW. What a stupid engine that was!

An update from Delkevic..
In terms of availability, I would expect to have them on the website https://delkevic.co.uk/s/Suzuki/DL650%20V-Strom%20(2012-2016)/2016 in a few weeks’ time. The part number is KIT05H2 and could be built up much the same as your was if someone required it before official release. Target price is £369.99 Inc VAT for the Titanium De-cat Silencer and link pipe kit with the Carbon effect silencer hanger strap.
Members of your group can receive a 10% discount and free UK shipping using the code AHPDKIT17. This only applies to web orders Andy, although if the correct code was quoted over the telephone we would also honour it.

Do you reckon it's basically the same exhaust as this one in style? So a titanium version of this one?
https://delkevic.co.uk/320mm-tri-oval-stainless-steel-silencer-to-fit-DL650-v-strom-2012-2016.html
I'm not personally so fussed about it being titanium as not keen on the colour. Shame they don't do this style in black.
-
That looks similar, yes.
-
I'm looking for new exhaust, and Delkevic was one of the options.
Placed order, and applied code which works.
Thanks Andy.

I’m looking at treating myself to a Delkevic exhaust so thought I’d search this forum to see if anyone else has one fitted. Glad I did ! I’m only looking at the 350mm Stainless Steel which is around £220, anyone have one of these fitted ?
https://delkevic.co.uk/DL650-v-strom-17-18-de-cat-oval-350mm-silencer-stainless-steel.html
I’ve cheekily just tried that discount code to get myself a £22 saving but it didn’t work. Was that code only for the titanium kit Fat Rat ?

So having the new Delkevic exhaust and link pipe fitted today at my local bike shop (GMEC)
Went to collect my old exhaust in the car, collecting the bike tomorrow. Seen it fitted and started her up to see what she sounds like. Fantastic, that’s all I can say, can’t wait to have a ride tomorrow (in the ice!)

How’s the noise level compared with the standard exhaust?
-
:text-woo: Very pretty. I like that.

How’s the noise level compared with the standard exhaust?
I only had a quick few revs but it put the biggest smile on my face, sounds deep, throaty and LOUD :thumb:

Short video to give you all a taste of how the Delkevic exhaust sounds:

I’m stuck between ordering the 350mm and the 450mm...
The 4500mm is the least noisy (but far better than the standard sewing machine exhaust) but will my standard equipment pannier rack get in the way???
Has anyone fitted the 4500mm?
-
Wouldn't 4500mm be four and a half Metres?
-
Well, he did say its the least noisy, plenty of baffle in one of those.
-
lol 4.5m ! I hope the rear bracket can support that !
-
I don't know what you're all laughing at. I have a set on my bike...
