Finally picked it up
« on: July 15, 2020, 18:58:36 »
I actually bought this bike in January and because of the lockdown and one thing and another I finally picked it up today  :happydance:

The chap has had it 11 years and haven’t used it for at least 2 years so I have booked it in for an mot on Friday.
The carbs need a balance I think cause once you come of the throttle it runs on three cylinders for a second then soon clears and pulls like a train.

That blue is intense. On my phone it is on its way to being purple! Looks superb, I hope you enjoy it.
Old enough to know better, but still too young to care...

Very striking colour. Shouldn't this be in Traitors Corner?

I spy with my little eye, something beginning with fuel tap...

That looks ace, enjoy. :thumb:
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

@Tlpower yes it is good spot there  :thumb:
The built quality of this bike is excellent and for a 21 year old bike it is in lovely condition  :thumb:

The build quality does seem to extremely good. I had a 1200 Trophy in green. It had one owner before me, a friend's dad, and it was like new. Nothing went wrong with it, nothing. I met with the Plymouth Triumph owners club a couple of times. Some of their bikes had extreme miles on the clock and I heard not one complaint. Enjoy  :thumb:
Good things rarely come to those who wait, best go out and get them while you can before it's too late.

@ the doctor 46 thank you for that encouraging news
I have had the mot on Friday (passed with flying colours) the mot tester was very impressed with the bike, I have booked it in with a mechanic friend of mine to have a service and the carbs balanced and cleaned out.
I took it to him the other day to book it in he took a quick look and noticed that the rubbers in between the airbox and the carbs had perished where it has been standing so that doesn’t help with the running of it.
