So my rear tyre had squared off a fair bit and was getting a bit "notchy" whilst cornering. It has lasted about 5k miles over the last year, so I think that's a reasonable effort. The front is still going strong.
I just had a new rear fitted today so went the long way home to scrub it in. Oh boy was it good! When you've got a nice rounded tyre again it makes you realise how compromised your turning in ability is made with a squared off tyre. Had to get used to the nice round profile again for the first few miles, then it was game on! 🏍️😃

Was thinking about getting some of these but you say it's getting square/notchy after 5k is putting me off a bit.  I have Battleaxe Adventure's on, they were what came with the bike and so far they've managed 9k miles. Yes they've squared quite a bit but there's not real issue and certainly not feeling notchy. I think they've probably got another 1.5k in them  - kind of expected to have to replace them after France but I'm pretty impressed with how they've held up.
