Bought this yesterday
« on: January 20, 2020, 17:31:47 »
Bought this little beauty yesterday.
I have known of this bike for a few years now, it has not been used at all for 18 months and it has spent all this time in a heated garage, the chap just has not got time to use it anymore.

Hopefully a few pics

That looks a reight monster  :)

What was your Labrador interested in?
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

I have had three of those they are great bikes,
just out of interest there was a sprag clutch mod to a larger clutch, if you have the oblong screwed down plate on the top of the engine you can change it with the engine in with a slight 1mm easing of the crank case to get the larger clutch in, if not you will have to remove the engine and split it.

Quick bikes. Had a few of the 900 triples but never a 1200 four. Very high build quality and the motors design was based on the Kawasaki GPZ.

@ oslin not sure as I have not actually picked it up yet it is still in the heated garage where I bought it 😂 we are having work done at home so the man cave has a lot of stuff in at the moment 😱 Not sure when I will be able to pick it up with all that’s going on 😭

@ Mark Shelley thank you that is very reassuring  :thumb: the last time the chap used it was a trip to Holland and he said it didn’t miss a beat really looking forward to getting it home now  :happydance:

I too have had one. I bought it from a man who must have been the most OCD person on the planet. It was immaculate and a brilliant bike. I was told a few times that the 900 was a better bike and handled better. My 1200 seemed perfect for me and I do (at times) like to make rapid progress. Mine was green but yours is IMHO a nicer colour  :thumb:

@the doctor 46 thank you I bought this bike in January and the chap was keeping it in his heated garage for me until I had the work done at home.

And guess what it is still in his heated garage with all this virus going on I am ashamed to say I still haven’t picked it up 😱

Maybe I will in a couple of weeks 🤞
It will live in my garage with my 3 other bikes  lol
