MRA Multi-X-Creen for DL1000 L8 opinions please?
« on: October 04, 2023, 18:55:41 »
Been looking at purchasing a new screen for my 2018 Vstrom 1000 XT, currently have the standard 3 position Suzuki clear screen but still get slight buffeting at the top of helmet, I'm 5 10".
I like the look of the MRA X creen lightly smoked, anyone use one of these or any opinions please.
Thankyou.

Sorry can't comment on the MRA screen, but have you tried the existing screen in all positions, particularly the lowest?
Plus (but not sure it's possible on the later models) have you thought about putting spacers between the fairing & screen to push it out a bit more. Some have fitted the same size top & bottom, others have but longer ones on the top or bottom to slope the screen slightly. 10, 15 or 20mm should be about right.

Changing those mirrors might help too.

I have the older MRA on my 2014 strom, I like it but it's not totally quiet but much better than the oe screen. I'm sure a X-creed would work better as its bigger, or a Suzuki MRA touring but not the flip up touring. I recently bought a secondhand Suzuki flip touring screen and its absolutely useless no matter what setting, avoid. I do have a Givi airflow which works the best but looks awful. I used to fit the Givi in winter time but I only tax the bike for six months now so just leave the MRA on.
