Battlax A40

Thanks Porter that kind of supports my experience of the A40 so far. As I ride for pleasure on tarmac roads and a fair weather rider at that I’ll consider changing them for a more suitable set of tyres (appreciate  many have been or are happy with these tyres) and sell them or see if I can trade them in. Any suggestion on a more comfortable tyre please?

I've  tried I few and the best have been the Michelin pilot road range 4's or 5's. The rears can be a bit short lived but I'm on the 1000, you'd be doing well to get 5k, the 650 is more gentle on its tyres. I've the Michelin aneke 3's on at the mo, good miles but harsh like the a40's.

Cheers to be honest mate I really enjoy my days out on my bike. I'm retired and at an age where comfort trumps riding on the edge. Went through a direct access course 4 years ago and bought the DL650 day after passing test..I've test ridden a few other bikes since but the Vee is the prefect steed for me. So a smooth ride is my desire and thanks again for passing on your experience and tyre suggestion. Wish I'd joined this forum before the A40's were fitted.😏
