Glee seat - Saddlecraft !

Yes, not a full bike just the seat ! I was in Saddlecraft in South Shields dropping my seat off and there it was. Dropped in in person at the weekend apparently - anyone on here ?

Not mine but curious as to what you're having done to your seat, I had mine altered but regretted it and swopped it for a new seat with a friendly dealer.

I'm having the standard height seat 'stuffed' to the same level as the tall touring seat with less 'taper' from the seat base edge to give a wider, flatter seat area. A gel pad is also in the equation along with a sparkly new cover (which doesn't have red stitching to clash with my blue bike...). Should be just splendid for a long-legged, lardy arsed chap like myself  

P.S. the seat cover will not actually be sparkly, just a turn of phrase, like.

What's a ballpark figure for a gel pad & recover from them? Just curious (for now)....

I'm having a lot of work done on mine with extra foam added, the gel  pad and the cover for a not unreasonable £150. Obviously without the foam work this would be a bit less.

Seems pretty reasonable: I'll see how I get on with the stock but I might treat myself sometime.

They're decent people to deal with and really know seats. My mate had a brown suede seat done by them for his café racer and it looks superb. He wanted a really shallow seat for the 'look' but the feller at Saddlecraft wisely talked him out of it and went for a 2" thick seat, which is actually quite comfy and suits the bike perfectly.
