Members price list for bespoke club bling
« on: September 28, 2009, 08:38:57 »
Hi all, I have decided to stick a price list on the forum because I am too damn stupid to remember   told you I was not taking this too seriously but rather enjoying doing it all!

By the way, thanks to all the members for the support, including Andy & especially Kev from Hull - what he lacks on good looks (so the ladies say) he makes up with kindness on donor 650`s! I do actually like what I am doing here but I am not necessarily doing it with the commercial `focus` I should have!

As an aside I have an interesting anecdote whereby a chappie (non member) rang up and commented that if I did not know my price list I would not be in business more than the 2 weeks I seemingly have been doing this. I got near sexual gratification in pointing out to him that I had been in business 20 years and my Company (which has survived 2 recessions) supplies into Caterpillar, JCB and the MOD and that our core business is highly specialised vehicle floorpans. That shut the f*cker up - and I aslo told him that the price had gone up (whatever it was   ) due to attitude - I guess that is one lost sale eh?

Anyway, here is the price list for members only:

1000cc & 650cc Radiator cover with the club logo on it £38.99 each.
1000cc & 650cc Oil cooler cover with the club logo on it £15 each.
If you purchase both I`ll do them at £52.99 because I am in a good mood.
(they are also available with just the `V-Strom` logo at the same price).

1000cc & 650cc chain guard with either the club logo or just V-Strom laser cut into the side £30
(these come with replacement stainless fasteners because the standard ones are shite - you know it boys).

Gear change enhancer (1000cc only and then only if you need it) £19.99 (Mk1 or Mk2)

Very horny reservoir covers with a lovely `v` lasered into them at £8.99 each.
(also with replacement stainless fasteners because the standard ones would be 2mm too short after fitting my part).

Note - I can do the fitting free of charge most of the time and I am happy to give my weekends up for members as I have been doing. At some point I may have to start to charge! Also, if I fit the gear change enhancer I will change all the rear sprocket fasteners for new, apply loctite and torque to the correct setting.

So, I hope this helps - don't forget to call if you have any questions and ride safely (especially the members coming up to see me this weekend).

Well done - did the knob not see that this was about some talented people passing their quality wares onto interested people for a resonable sum of money!  Hats off to you for doing what you do (probably in your small bit of spare time) and managing to still run a business - I know the feeling.  My Xmas order will be with you soon. Regards.

Thanks Mark.

Excellent product and great price. I will be buying the Rad Cover, Oil Cooler cover, Chainguard and Brake Resevoir cover, that is when you have stopped lounging around and finished the 650 variants  :GRR:

Thanks `backdraft` and no it`s not the easiest thing to do but it`s helped along by everyones support and how chuffed I am with the tackle.

Oh Andy, you kill me, that's another rib you`ve broken through uncontrolable mirth  :sarc: - that 650 variant has been a pig mate!

Anyway, won`t be long now (he says!).

P.S. I purchased a GS yesterday (still keeping the CB1300 coz I`m loaded  ) and I am off to Scotland to get it on Friday - I suppose you can consider it a step closer to a V Strom!

650 kit at long last (save the chainguard!)
« Reply #4 on: September 29, 2009, 18:48:37 »
Folks, at long last I cannot `fluff` Andy anymore - he is getting wise to my delaying tactics so here are the images of the 650 kit comprising of the rad cover, oil cooler cover and reservoir cover - the only thing missing is the chain guard! (but that is the same as the 1000cc one - nearly   ).

So, knock yourselves out blokes - here it is and mostly thanks to `Rob` from Hull for giving up his life and spending it in the hallowed walls of Cymarc Engineering. Thank god it`s done, he has nearly drank me out of house, home and coffee

Hope the piccy comes out or I`m in for another slagging.......

Just went `back in` to see if the photo came out.

F*ck me, even I think it`s sexy and I made the damn stuff!

Sorry to all the members who have had to wait for the topbox modification but to be honest I have not had a huge response on that.

Who is up for a `Drive Sexy` belly pan? That could be my next project..........

Stu. I'm going up on Friday to get my bike done. If you want to order the stuff from mark I can bring it down for you. Save postage. Let me know.

Dave
One day, someone showed me a glass of water that was half full.  And he said, "Is it half full or half empty?"  So I drank the water.  No more problem.

I thought of buying a house in scunthorpe to save on the humber bridge toll :sarc:
I also feel for every hole in the rad cover equates to an hour of my life

Seeing the finished product has made it all worth while though, Mark somehow has muddled his way through and come up trumps.

The most satisfying part of this project is me going to marks knowing I'm saving other members the ordeal of marks customer services.....powdered milk ffs lol

Mark, your products look very good and I'll shall be placing an order, I personally think that 'Touratech' equipment is not well finished, over hyped and the prices obscene, good luck to you. What are your contact details? Cheers Rat. :thumb:

Hi Mark, just to say I am waiting on the topbox modification
(650 if any different) to become available to order a few parts.
At least you have one response!
Thanks.

Hi Mark
I was also waiting on the top box mod to make an order. But fully understand if not many people are interested its not worth your while to make. I have seen a few posts showing interest - what sort of numbers do you need?
Maybe anyone interested could post here so as to get a idea of numbers wanting one.

Yeah, that's a good idea - Anybody want to place any pre-orders so I can get an idea?

To be fair, it is quite a small item to make and develop - it`s just a time issue with me at the moment!
