V Strom to the other end of the World Pic
« on: October 21, 2019, 00:52:56 »
So I am still in the UK but 8000 miles away from my home in Sussex . This was taken today about 20 miles out of Stanley, Falkland Islands.
This bike is seriously made for this type of terrain. There was no phone signal, there was no help, just a solid V-Strom taking on gravel "roads".

Nice !

I think you have set an all time high for a likes:posts ratio there.

How did you get to have yourself and your Strom out there?

That's great. You should submit your photo for the 2020 calendar.

1 gravel road and miles and miles of feck all else . . . . . been there (but only in a landy, so doesn't really count as a "done that" moment)  :text-bravo:

Welcome & thanks for sharing

Thanks for all your comment and likes. I had the bike shipped from a company in Liss.
There was a massive wait for 10 weeks and £1095 lighter but there wasn't a mark on the bike. A lot of wood and packing used to ship it and the top box and two panniers.
The two tyres I changed in the UK ready for here: Michelin anakee and they kept it on the tracks. I have to say I had the traction control on 2 so the light was flashing now and then but did an amazing job. I love my bike even more, although it's not possibly to love it any more... haha.
