I agree with that, who wouldn't but there is one thing missing. Cost of bike and cost of sometimes, a very small off. I had a BMW GSA. I would take it on a dirt road and think I could have taken it further than I did but, I couldn't afford to drop it.

It would be great to ride a bike that I didn't mind trashing, in fact I owned a tatty but well maintained Honda XR250R once and that was fun and I dropped it a few times.  :thumb:

The thing I took from it is the "ride how/what YOU like" angle.
There is a lot of factionalism in biking these days,not just machine types but riding styles too.
As long as You are happy with what You are riding and how ,the rest is irrelevant fluff.
