Sidi's are great. I have a pair of Gavia Gorex, also a number higher (49/14) than I would normally choose. I am very happy about these. Comfortable, easy to take on and off...

Are these Sidi goretex boots really waterproof? just looking at my old boots, I have 2 pairs of Sidi, not sure which model they were, one is an old model touring boot which says 'Goretex' on the side but they were not waterproof, OK in a shower but heavy rain forget it, I used to use Oxford rainseal overboots.
it would be great if the new Sidi adventure were really waterproof and if not how do you pursue the guarantee? thanks.

Usually you need to return the boots to where you purchased them from with proof of purchase for them to send back to the manufacturer. If you can't do that (e.g. shop closed) I would try either Sidi or Goretex direct. They should be waterproof.

Bought the Sidi performer Goretex, very well made as usual from Sidi, I'll see how good this Goretex really is in the wet before too long I'm sure,
bought my regular shoe size, fits perfect.

Just be sure to keep the receipt in case they leak in the future and need to be returned to Goretex.

These boots are really good I've had them for a couple of years now and no leaks.
I did a search for reviews about boots where the tester on Visordown, I think, put them into a basin of deep water for 24 hours and they were dry.
As can be said other boots in the test passedwith flying colours.

Re: receipts. I took a photo of mine and emailed it to myself & saved it in a folder called 'bike gear receipts'. I also found a load of bike gear receipts from 2008 the other day that I'd filed way. I don't have the jacket or the boots anymore but I did have the very faded receipts...

I know this is an older post, but..
Boots.
These have proved very good, comfortable too for walking & very strong. Lots of protection, & yes they squeak a bit, but a little boot wax & its quiet again. Plus they look good.
I tried an adventure boot, but found I was all boot about to do a mars landing.

4 years into wearing a pair of Haix XR22.
Gortex, steal toe, 2.5mm cow hide, anti slip sole.

Normally a pair of bike boots last me 6 months before falling apart, and only 3 before I get wet feet.

They are also good for walking.
They now do a composite toe cap version that's lighter but a bit more cost.
