Rear Shock replacement - suggestions?
« on: March 25, 2019, 13:30:19 »
Hi all - any suggestions as to good replacements for the OE rear shock. 43K miles and mine has had it. Had a slight heart attack at the prices of some on line. Anyone had any good experiences of swaps that won't cost me another kidney (I lost the other one paying for a fuel pump). Would be nice to ride a Vera without a saggy bum again ;)

Try these they are very good but costly, I know they are not OE but worth looking at used ones.

I had this decision last Autumn for my Glee - see thread: https://www.v-strom.co.uk/smf/index.php?topic=35135.msg351640#msg351640

I ended up with a Hyperpro and have no complaints so far

I went for hyperpro kit which includes front springs to cope with a ton of luggage and two middle aged spreaders on rtw trip. No complaints so far after 30,000 miles.

I've just had to replace mine as the last completely broke and it was like riding a mattress ! I went for Nitron for no other reason than cost. They take your weight and make them to spec. Happy with it so far, if I could just fix my engine now!
