Some more reading has unearthed it wasn't the ignition relay that was faulty, it was the injection relay.
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

I cobbled together my 98 r1 forks and hammered them into my raptor front end, it was a bit of a job, had to sleave the spindle from 22mm to 25mm, but it's all gone in, just waiting on brake lines, the calipers are restored, fork oil sorted, so it ought be a nice setup once dialed in. :)

I also phosphur bronze sleaved my control levers, after boring them out, as they were all as sloppy as a jelly fish watching a horror movie..

Wow Wurzel that looks mega. I'll post you my Cagiva levers for the re-bushing mission in the winter. My gear lever is the worst of the lot.

Top skills that man, the only manual dexterity I took from school was the ability to scribe "ramones rule" on my desk lid with a pair of compasses....

 lol
I was much the same mate, I would love to do your levers, I can't believe how it freshens the feel of the bike up, well chuffed.

I have a few more things to do yet, just bits and bobs of brackets etc that I will mill up out of billet ally, and re do all the back end linkages so that's fresh, then she is getting up to spec, frightened of track day action though in case I bin it!

On that, have you heard from Earthcore, not seen him about and wondered how he is getting on.

Drop him a pm.

Nice job that!. A lathe is one piece of kit I keep thinking of treating myself to...

Along with all the other toys like blast cabinet, 3d printer, mill, welder, hydraulic press, etc, etc, etc....

Then I think about the cost & space and remember I know people who have them & make do with that.

I know that the lathe would only be an expensive device that turns random pieces of metal into swarf the majority of the time anyway.

If you get a lathe, mount a vertical slide on it, and you have a light mill, cost effective, works for me with gentle cuts.

I have a nice old boxford from a school, just setting it up, that will cut faster than the little lathe I'm using right now.

Most of my mill work is in aluminium, so the little lathe  copes well. :)

Good to hear from you ,mate, I have been wondering how you were getting on, I'm shocked that they have not sorted you out yet, jeez...

All is well in my turnip patch, and a few trips planed this summer, a couple of bikes to fettle once the cagiva is sorted, I have an old early 70's cb750 four chop to restore, and my xr400 wants refreshing, as do I. .. :)

It's a weird looking bike, proper old school chop with girder forks, akront rims, unusually twin front discs, and about 9 feet long, I think it's an American frame.

I have built a new 4 into one exhaust, and a few other bits, just rebuilding the carbs, then a new seat and it's good to go.

I will get a pic of it, it's in the front room so that's easy.

I will most likely sell it when it's done, but I love those motors... :eusa-doh:

Here you go.. not the best pics on my tablets wide angle lense, the second motor is bare ally, and will look better imo.

That's fantastic!! Right about the front brakes, usually one, small one at that. Ever since "factory customs" turned into cruisers, you just don't see enough chops about.

Not trackday material...
