Repair kits
« on: April 14, 2024, 20:18:06 »
Evening all, I've just completed a front brake system rebuild over the weekend. Forced job really as I hadn't realised just how badly corroded my pistons had become. But a TRK kit and hel brake lines have worked wonders.
Now question of the day is, I'm due to do the same to the clutch side next weekend and I wish to replace the mastercylinder internals. I've failed to find a kit to do so.
Does anyone know if the kit for a front brake master cylinder is useable for this, as visually it would appear so. Plus I don't won't to take things apart without being able to rebuild it.
The bike is a K7  Vee
I would love to post some photos, but I have enough trouble trying to explain myself at times

Cheers then.... :fix:

OP mentions master cylinder for clutch, the OEM kit (which you've probably already found) is here;

It's definitely different from the front brake master cylinder set as the piston looks a substantially different length from photos.
I've seen a few after market kits on eBay a bit cheaper but not enough cheaper to not use the OEM personally.

Here is a kit for the GSF1250, and it lists compatibility with the DL1000 (found by finding the all balls kit and searching the compatible bikes)

I think you may need to go to page 10 for compatibility. Well done to all you members, you are what makes this site so great.  :thumb:

Thanks everyone for their replies, I think @Rexington you've hit the nail on the head. That and the refurbished slave cylinder I purloined of @kwackboy last year all should be good  :thumb:
