Hello
« on: September 19, 2012, 20:39:48 »
Hi,
I am just about to purchase my first V-Strom 650 AK7 Touring.
Only has 571 miles on the clock, previous owner has only done 8 miles a year for the last couple of years and that was just to MOT it.
I was looking at a new one but found it a bit tall and as this one is 3.8K cheaper, thought this was the way to go.
If all goes well I'll be picking it up in a week or two and will be looking to put some extras on it.
Any suggestions on Mods and suppliers would be most welcome.
Cheers
Rhinosumo

Sounds like an amazing find!   :welcome:

Loads of advice on which mods to do first on the forum when you use the 'search' function, but my first would be 'mudguard extender' fora DL650 from ebay about 17 quid, keeps tons of muck from landing on your engine, radiator and other bits! :thumb:

Thanks for the reply's,

the bike I have bought is here : http://www.powerbiking.co.uk/yamaha-Loc ... vestate=no

I am trading my VT750 and YBR125 for it, they are also going to fit crash bars, skid pan, hugger, and radiator cover as part of the deal.

I have got a can of ACF that I used on the other 2 bikes as I only drive the car about 2 weeks of the year (only did 300 miles in it last year).

mudguard extender is on order, screen, side cases and fork brace next, I think.

Life isn't about waiting for the strom to pass.... it's about learning to dance in the rain
