Beware of the dog!
« on: July 19, 2021, 20:46:23 »
We had a group of bikers in the other week who were just here to get pissed and make lots of noise. I had to go out and ask them to quieten down more than once.

When they left, they left all of their rubbish littered under the shelter

Karen decided to send the organiser from their group some constructive criticism, along the lines of 'groups of bikers find it very difficult to get into some campsites, making a racket late into the night and then leaving a mess when you leave, does nothing to help other groups and the way campsites perceive them.

Rather than take that, he responded very defensively and said he was going to leave us a bad review.

Well, here it is https://goo.gl/maps/zq2u3iwVw8pfVyjM9

For those of you that know me, more to the point, those who have met 'the dog', will find it unlikely that I threatened them with Alfie  lol

Outlaws feeder club? Can't tell the difference between a campsite and a rally field?

This is the trouble with online reviews, some moron can write what they want about you and your business and in most cases there's nothing you can do about it.

Some years back, we got a bad review because the customer didn't like a private conversation that was overheard.
The conversation was nothing to do with the customer but somehow offended at what was overheard ...

Nosey w..k.r ..!!

The world we live in today .....  :dl_smiley_banghead: :dl_smiley_banghead:

It's highly likely that potential customers will see through such rubbish ...

Take Alfie next time ...  lol

Adults Only campsite   ... "Adult" is a behaviour not just an age or a size.
This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can.

Some folk have to be lead by hand / treated like kids, as they either don't have the mental capacity or have necessary respect or just don't give a damn. Perhaps a set of rules, along with "a right of admission reserved" clause, for all those wanting to make use the camp site and facilities? A set of laminated rules can be placed in each cabin as well. This should allow the site manager / owner to give any client breaking the rules a warning. Maybe a three strikes and you are out type of approach.  For the littering problem, a clause to include the possibility of retaining any site deposit if required to clean up after any camper. Just a thought.

I agree with Gert.
A lot of people need to be explicitly told the unwritten rules of curtesy, respect and common sense. It's these people who'll instantly reply with "oh yeah, of course, I know" as if it's the most obvious and redundant thing they've ever heard, but if you don't tell them and they act against these unwritten rules (and they will) they are the first to say "well you didn't tell me" instead of apologising.  :angry-banghead:

To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

This picture is enough to terrify any outlaws. He is like a coiled spring, waiting to attack.
