Rubber nut for Windscreen
« on: August 05, 2023, 22:46:25 »
Hi blokes I’ve managed to lose a rubber nut grommet type part from my Windscreen , and when I start a search I find loads of different ones. I’ve got a 2016 v-strom 650 anyone got a pic or a part number of the right one I need?
Thanks in advance
Chris

Thanks Fat Rat I noticed that link is for a 2006 mines is a 2016 do you think it’s the same? , the 3 that’s left in seem a bit fatter at the end but of course that’s maybe just cause it’s gets squeezed when it’s gets tightened.
Cheers

The well but hasn't changed in forever, part code shows the same for your 2016 650 as my 2007 1000.
Pop this code into eBay and you'll get loads of results for bog standard M5 well nuts at a fraction of the OEM cost. I replaced all 4 and the screen bolts with stainless hex versions for less than the price Suzuki wanted for a well nut alone.

I bought these, they are listed under the old part code which Suzuki have superceded but they work, are good quality and were cheap.

Halfords sell them too. A bit more expensive than E-Bay maybe, but if you're in a rush?

Don't be tempted, as I was, to use Rawlnuts. I'd used them at work and thought they would be the same. Not quite. Rawlnuts have a slimmer body and smaller flange, making it easier for them to pull through.
