Rush of blood to the brain
« on: July 13, 2019, 19:58:52 »
Hello All,

Following a sudden rush of blood to the brain, it appears I am the owner of a red 2016 V-Strom 1000 complete with all of the bits that suggest I'm off on a world tour. Bits notwithstanding the test ride to set my mind at ease before buying, was a blast.

I'd ridden there on my 1000SX, which could not be any more different to the V-Strom. Both are heaps of fun yet in totally different ways. The V-Strom's gyroscopic front wheel needs a totally different technique to make it corner. And the screen on the V-Strom (Givi Airflow - two bladed thing) ... WoW ... Spot on 70MPH and not some much as 1 mph more - honest - with my visor up! Highly impressed.

Looking forward to discovering all the foibles and characteristics of a totally different bike

Cheers Himself

Moped - CB200 - GT380 - CB750 - GS750 (850 Yoski kit) - CB900 full of Moriwaki bits - GPZ1100 - GS1000S - Kids - Suzuki 650F - Tiger 1050 - Versys 1000 - and now the SX and the V-Strom

Hello and  :welcome2:. Ah yes! The SX. I had one. So good at what it does but the heart thought it was tedious and boring. Unlike your new steed.
This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can.
