No, not so many... . I do such trips only once a year for 5 to 8 days. The remaining year I'm only "Schoenwetter-Fahrer" (sunshine driver ?). I don't like riding a bike in bad wheather conditions because I have no 100% water-proof raingear.

Here are some more pics of my annually trips to Italy, France and Switzerland:

Grand Canyon du Verdun (South France)

somwhere in the alps

Central Sardinia

Golfo Aranci (Northeast Sardinia), and my brother's Tiger 1050

Costa Verde (West Sardinia)

close to Alghero (North Sardinia)

If you are looking for THE perfect country for riding a motorbike, than go to Sardinia!!!! :thumb:
Streets in perfect conditions and race track surface. :thumb:
Bends over bends... (take a look at google-maps)
No traffic outside villages and towns - you see only about 50 cars a day outside urban areas. :lala:
Sunshine every day.  :)))  :)))
bautyful landscape  :thumb:
The Police don't care about you (if you are a motorcyclist)  :haha:  :auto-dirtbike:
Not more expensive than Austria - except petrol ( up to 1,60 EUR/Ltr.  :bawl:  )

What do you want more???

That's the worst excuse ever :-) Get a rain oversuit, gloves and waterproof boots or say you are concerned about your safety rather

:haha: Juvecu - no ecxuse...  :eusa-naughty:
I have already my 4th rain oversuit within 8 years! And all of these at a high price-level. No cheap junk stuff.
But I didn't stay dry longer than about one hour. That makes no fun... for me :rain: . So I avoid longer rain rides whenever I can. But I don't fear it! I only hate it. :shy:

73bm73, really just messing with you a bit, I don't think anyone here enjoys riding in the rain. Just yesterday I was thinking that so far this week I've commuted home in the rain 4 out of 5 days, hopefully today it won't rain on the way back again.

I like the emergency supplies  :thumb: I think I need to stash some jaffa cakes under my seat

Have to agree about Sardinia, a fabulous place, spent a lot of time there in the 80s and 90s, great place to ride and the locals are great to party with.

Yes, I drove all the way.
It takes about 10 hours (~850km) to Livorno habour

and about 10 hours on the ferry (overnight) to Golfo Aranci.

And early in the morning, we are there! It's perfect.
