Tom Tom Rider 1 duff bracket
« on: May 03, 2009, 21:17:44 »
I have the above an recently my bracket broke clean off. I am probably going to go for the touratech mount now but I wondered if anybody knows if the rider 2 bracket fit's as I heard that they are better, and it would give me some more cash to get some other luxury from my favourite catalogue.

Not sure to be honest ... I /think/ I recall somewhere that they are in fact different ... but could be wrong...

I had the Rider 1 and mine also snapped  ###  I complained to TomTom and they replaced the whole thing with a Rider2

I appreciate the Rider 1 is old now but it would be worth a call to TomTom because they were handing out free replacements.

The Rider 2 bracket is completely different and won't fit your Rider 1

What Andy said, Tomtom gave me a 2 to replace my one FOC. My problem was the 1's connecting pins "drilling" into the contact plates.
