Finally took my 2010 Wee for valve check after just under 40,000 miles.  All within tolerances.  :fix:

Thanks for that I don't think I will bother checking mine as it is at 8500 miles

I've done nearly 40000 miles without a valve check .... still the same mpg as a 2018 model over a long distance

I checked mine at 15k and 5 were out of spec. I'm fairly confident they'll still be in spec at 30k but I will check. It seems like a game of mechanical chicken if I don't.

I checked my K6 at 14.5k, skipped the 30k and then again when I had time around 52k.
All within spec.
Unless it's a screw and locknut jobby they generally will not need doing.

Many dealers will just say they've checked and won't even take the covers off. There's no need.

Checked mine at 25k, all on the minimum settings, will need doing at 30k but this is on a 1000 v.

These were mine at approximately 29,300 miles (attached), checked mid Jan 2017. I'm now c. 46,000 miles so looking to check them again and adjust to middle of spec.
Unsure whether to negotiate garage time with SWMBO and do them myself or to get a local dealer to do it. I've never done valve checks/adjustments before though if doing myself will need to wait for warmer weather...

Did my Vee  a year ago. 1 valve was OK, 2 were on the minimum and 5 were below minimum. The bike had 16k on it at the time!

Shimmed all 8 to be on the higher side of clearance so I don't need to bother for a while - there was certainly more valve tap after I'd done them but I'd rather not have valves burning out.

Even if I trusted a dealer, there'd always be that nagging doubt over whether they'd really done them....

50K on mine and I have never checked, bike runs the same as when I got  it, 20K on it, not sure if it has ever been done as history was a little patchy.

Just did mine at around 20k, 2 exhaust on front were out of spec and all but the rear inlets were on the tight end of spec, was able to swap a couple and bought the rest of the shims but all valves are now right in the middle...the bike previously never felt right going over 60mph, now I struggle to keep it under 80! That is if I don't watch it, she just zooms ahead, wonderful change in her! Not sure if they were ever done before I bought her at 14k miles, I'm assuming not to be honest as the bloke who sold it to me told me it had had a full service with a receipt to prove, the receipt showed oil and filter and nothing else! Typical sales B.S.!
